Bonfires and sparklers have marked the end of warm weather here in the Northwoods. Cold temps (even maybe snow?!) are forecasted for later this week – and I am very excited about this :).

This past weekend friends of mine & Al’s from Firestar Kennel got married, and I was lucky enough to capture their day. I’ll post photos from the ceremony and reception in the next few weeks, but I wanted to share all the fun that happened with the kids after dark.

Sparklers with 1600 ISO and my 1.4 35mmL made for some really cool images. It was a bit chilly at the end of the night, so the bonfire was a great place to warm up – and to serve as basecamp for the kids running around.  Enjoy!

Looked like it was a unique and beautiful wedding ceremony from the first photos posted. . There is nothing like capturing joy whether at a wedding, or around a campfire with sparklers!
