On my trip to Atlanta, I met two very sweet and loving dogs – Nick and Lizzie. Nick was especially loving – and when I met him, I used a phrase many pet photographers know well: “Don’t worry, they hump me all the time…”. And well, it’s true. Must be that I smell like Chihuahua and Flat Coat, or they just love me :). You can see a few where he is eyeing me. This is one of my favorite parts of my job, actually. I get to capture exactly what they are thinking. Ha!
I had so much fun rolling on the ground with these two. Lizzie was very happy to show me her favorite toy and her favorite spot in the car. I need to stop putting dogs in the back of cars for photos, though, they think I lie about the possibility of a car ride… I’m going to start getting a reputation among the canine set.
Nick enjoyed lounging on one of his couches – he was obviously very relaxed. I guess I’m not that troubling to have around ;).
Thank you for having me!!

The light and expression on the couch are outstanding as well. (My favorite.) Got a kick out of the last … “You’re gonna have to drive, I’ve had one too many bones.”
Doggies seem to like showing off for you. Probably vice versa.

January 27, 2015 at 12:57 pm (7 years ago)I love the photos. You have an amazing eye for pets, and it certainly shows in the pictures! I gives me hope that if I chase Tessa around the house with my phone (the Nikon is too big…LOL), I might have a chance at a photo. I just wish I knew what she was afraid of….sigh.
