About Hannah

hannah stonehouse hudson

My name is Hannah Stonehouse Hudson. I am a writer, photographer, speaker, and outdoor enthusiast. This blog used to be my photography blog, but it’s turned into a personal one now 🙂

After losing my husband unexpectedly in 2013, I began to focus primarily on inspiring others to follow their passions and to live life to the fullest.

When I am not out on the water or in the field, I can be found speaking about the power of social media & virtual communities, why it’s important to live life to the fullest, and teaching organizations and businesses how to handle social media when something tragic occurs.

Information on hiring me to speak or teach a workshop for your organization can be found here: Speaking and Workshops.

My TEDx talk on social media and empathy can be seen here: TEDx

To find me either give me a ring at 608 – 358 – 7229 or email me at hannah@stonehousephoto.com.  Or just send me Nutella – I will immediately do whatever you need :).

    Hey there………….!
Read the heartbreaking story about Simon the Doberman………………must have been my allergies acting up (my eyes are moist for some UNKNOWN reason).
Thank you for all that you do and have done in the past……….and I’m so sorry to hear about your husband’s passing too………..please accept my condolences.
In the past I had ordered a photo of the guy with his dog in the water, the older dog, and dang if my allergies didn’t act up again………….same result when I watched the movie “War Horse”……and the dog movie with Richard Gere-“Haichi”, and reading about the K9 in Anaheim, California that was shot in the line of duty,………………………I am also a K9 handler for my department and have had my share of loss in the animal department over the years……….love all dogs and even cats………………..and to see or hear of someone mistreating them upsets me………………..my daughter rescued 3 shelter dogs and also loves our four legged friends…………………………….anyway enough of my “rambling”, hope you have a great weekend……………and please keep doing what you do………………!
    Take care,
    Wes Crume

HI: A thousand thanks for being you. I follow your newsletter and am wearing my tshirt of John and Schoep today at work (security-condo bldg.) and there is a deck party going on. I went there with my shirt and stories I have followed. Almost everyone it seems remembers something about John, Schoep, and You tho names sometimes escapes them. No problem cause I share with them your achievements since those sad days. (tears)…

I read the above comment about K-9’s and dogs in general in public service. Have you ever photo’d/storied them? I would like to see that or if I missed them, let us know. They and their trainers should get some publicity.

    Again, thank you.

Hannah, I just recently became acquainted with your work over the last few months and enjoyed reading the story in my latest Bark magazine. As a former k-9 handler with my department and my current involvement with a few animal welfare organizations I can totally appreciate your work. The bond between man and his k-9 is truly something special. Keep the good work going and feel free to contact me if you are ever in the Knoxville, Tennessee area. Take care, Dan Paidousis

    Hello Hannah.

What kind of camera do you use for the “running” and/or playing dog? You are saying on videos that you use 24-70mm/2.8. I really like your way of photographing. I am struggling what kind of camera should I buy right now, since the old Pentax is too slow. I have to think if I should attend thew online course. 🙂

    Yours, HelenaG

Hmm… I would like to discuss the course with you, when would you have time? And of course also the equipment as I tried to explain in the email I sent you. It can be that it went to trash since it´s hotmail-address. Are you able to help?

You have created so much positive energy in the world. Thank you for sharing your heart & life’s path. A few years ago a fund was spoken of for those who may need help with Vet & pet RX costs. My critters have all found me one way or another. It’s weird asking but I could use a helping hand. I’m a reclusive Nordic Dutch girl (i’m turning 60) who goes by M Lou Martin on Facebook. I love your smile sister/woman! >>~~> Love & Peace <~~<<
