Happy Dogs at the Apostle Islands Sled Dog Race

Sometimes I cannot believe what I get to capture! The expressions on these dogs’ faces are so fun that I decided to dedicate an entire blog post to them.

The 2014 Apostle Islands Sled Dog Race gave me some of my favorite “happy dog” photos of all time.  Whether it is the jumping dog, or the ridiculously happy canine in the first photo – I am in love with these images.  Leave some captions in the comments if you’d like :).

At first I was going to try and do a blog about the entire race, but there were way too many fun photos to go in to one post. I’ve split it up a bit, and my story about Firestar Kennel will be up tomorrow, along with images from the whole race.  Here the bookmark for the link where all of the images will be available to view and order: AISDR images.

Here are some bigger, Pin- able images in a slideshow – may take a bit to load :).  Please share – I love sharing our amazing area with the world!  See you tomorrow with more photos.

Hannah, These are magnificent, as is all your work! Your camera has captured the spirit of the dogs, the joy in the adventure, the love for the dogs, the magic of the moment! One feels as if one has actually attended the sporting event.
