Taking a break – Copper Falls State Park

Summer is insane for me, as it is for all wedding photographers & professionals!  This year I promised myself I would actually take more breaks and take more personal photos- and I’ve actually been doing it :).  In addition, my wonderful husband, Jim, has left his job to be a full time fishing guide on Lake Superior, so we’ve able to hang out together for the first time… we spent the 1st 6 years of our marriage with totally opposite schedules, so we’ve been having a lot of fun doing things together we’ve never done before!  Today Jim and I went out to Copper Falls State Park near Mellen, WI.  It has AMAZING waterfalls – I wanted to post this one shot I got today… usually I post most stuff on Facebook, but it didn’t seem to do it justice:

I’ll post some others tomorrow – but check this deer out that followed us for awhile on the trail.  Jim took my camera into the woods as we saw the deer go past us.  She bedded down right in front of him!  She even let him walk up to it about 5 feet from where it laid down…

Oh – and tomorrow on my Facebook page I’m going to be offering some Lighroom preset freebies as well – I spend countless hours tweaking & building presets, so I figured I’d share :).  have a great day!
