I absolutely loved shooting Laura and Kane’s wedding on 10/10/10! They had a wonderfully intimate wedding at the diminutive St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Madeline Island. Laura and Kane celebrated Kane’s Mexican heritage by incorporating the lazo and arras into the ceremony. The lazo (or lasso) is a cord that symbolizes the commitment and love that the married couple has pledged to one another. The Arras are a collection of 13 coins blessed by the priest that are given by the groom to the bride. After the ceremony, we took pictures at Big Bay Town Park. Laura and Kane held their reception at The Pub at the Inn on Madeline Island. They even had a bonfire on the beach!
