When Kim and John called me to shoot their wedding I was really excited – I knew that they’d be so much fun to shoot!

They got married in this really cool Catholic church outside of Middleton. The lighting was amazing and provided a great backdrop for a moving ceremony. The ceremony provided for a bunch of laughs when the priest called Kim by her sister’s name!
The revelry started just after the ceremony, when the entire party jumped onto the Madison Party Bus to take them for more photographs and a stop at the Missouri Tavern in Waunakee. The bus had a stripper pole! How awesome is that?! I also loved the Missouri Tavern – it is the epitome of a Wisconsin bar!
Both Kim and John are HUGE Badger fans – and they showed their love of everything Wisconsin by reflecting it in their attire – even Kim’s dress had a red sash! We had a great time taking pictures at the church, park and bar.
After the group shots, Kim, John and I snuck out for a few romantic shots of the two of them. I absolutely love the dip kiss that John planted on Kim!
The reception was at the Dorf Haus in Roxbury – a fantastic German restaurant! There were lots of laughs to be had during the speeches. John also took some time out to do a little fishing.
It was then time for the dances. Kim looked radiant during the first dance and dancing with her father. John drew tons of applause for serenading his mother! After that, the party really got started, and everyone let loose! There was tons of polka played (what else?!) and everyone had a great time dancing!
Thanks for the opportunity to shoot your wedding ! You guys were so much fun!
