Every spring Bayfield, WI on Lake Superior has the Blessing of the Fleet. It includes all kinds of craft – commercial fishing vessels to sailboats, canoes, and row boats. Here are a few shots from today. I actually was in town for a wedding this weekend, so I got to get some great photos! Prints are for sale here: http://stonehousephoto.zenfolio.com/blessingofthefleet
They do the actual blessing at Memorial Park in Bayfield.
All the boats started lining up – it was very over cast!
The seagulls totally know where all the fish are!!
Getting ready to bless…

Don’s beautiful wooden rowboat! Don is an amazing photographer and a professor at Northland College.
This is probably my favorite shot!
It started to get really dark, so I ran away 🙂
